Bianca Casady to open art exhibit in Milan, Italy

Bianca Casady, one half of CocoRosie, is opening up a new art exhibit in Italy under the title, La Combat Spiritual. Presented by Galleria Patricia Armocida of Milan, the display will open on Wednesday, November 26 at 6:30 PM and run until January 24, 2009.

The gallery describes the collection as the following:

“For this exhibit, she will present drawings, watercolors on paper, collages, videos, and a site-specific installation.

The title of the exhibit, La Combat Spiritual, symbolizes the struggle for spiritual freedom and personal myths. In her most recent works, the artist elaborates the androgynous beauty of fairies and angels in order to explore the possibility of a time that transcends patriarchies and humanity.”
